The club was founded in 1951 by John and Arthur Zweetsloot, two brothers from Holland. The club has grown over the years and is now based at Bedford Academy 

Mile Road Bedfordshire, MK42 9TR. Bedford judo club takes pride in their friendly approachable environment and welcoming atmosphere to all players. Over the years our club has been active in national, county and area events also supplying both table officials senior examiners and referees.
